‘Chivalry’ is defined as ‘the qualities idealized by knighthood such as bravely, courtesy, and honesty’. In more simple and contemporary terms, ‘chivalry’ can best be defined as extending ‘common courtesy’, especially to the fairer sex-women. This can be as basic as opening the door for a lady, (which is what a woman becomes when treated as such), removing your hat inside, and in the presence of a lady, allowing ‘ladies first’ to always be practiced, and remembering, ‘women love to feel ‘special’. And when it comes to ‘your lady’, never stop doing and saying the things you did when you sought her. This is why she decided to ‘let it be you.’ She liked what you did, and how you did things…..that is the recipe for a successful and happy relationship….keep saying and doing the same things. (Illustrates the necessity of being ‘honest’ and’ real’) This is what drives the need for chivalry perhaps more than any other factor. This must be done ‘from the heart’, and not just for ‘display’. Everything is life has a certain degree of ‘style’, and a degree of ‘substance’. Of the two, the latter, ‘substance’ is by far, the more important. ‘Styles come and go, but things of substance prevail.’
